What we collect

When you ask about a space, apply for one, or update your tenant file, we collect:

Your name, phone number, email and mailing address.
Driver's license or ID details and a photo of the ID.
Details and photos of your boat, RV or trailer, its registration, hull number or VIN, and your insurance.
Emergency contacts, and for some spaces the people and pets who will live there.
How you would like to pay, and your typed-name signature with the time, IP address and browser it came from.

We never collect card or bank account numbers on our forms. Those are entered on Stripe's secure page and we do not see or store them.

How we use it and who we share it with

We use your information to consider your application, prepare and run your agreement, bill rent, and contact you about your space. We do not sell it. We share it only with the companies that run these services for us: Supabase (secure storage), Vercel (web hosting), Stripe (payments), Google (address lookup and email), Anthropic (reading an uploaded document to fill in the form for you), and Quo (text messages), or when the law requires it.

Texts and email

We email you about your account, rent, autopay and documents when you agree to that on a form. We text you only if you tick the text-message box. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of renting a space.

How we protect it

Forms are sent over encrypted connections. Links to your forms are private to you and stop working once submitted or expired. Only marina staff who need your file can open it. If a security breach ever affects your information, we will tell you as California law requires.

Seeing or changing your information

To see what we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete what we are not required to keep, call (925) 453-9471 or email sunsetharboroffice@gmail.com.

Do Not Track and other sites

Our forms do not track you across other websites, so there is nothing for a browser's Do Not Track setting to switch off, and we do not change how the forms work when one is sent. This public website may use Google Analytics to count visits; Google may collect information about your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we will email you first.
